Four reasons why I'm not a fascist

I'm on the left because I didn't vote for David Cameron (nor for Farage).
I'm on the left because unlike David Cameron I don't place profit above people or the environment.
I'm on the left because unlike David Cameron and his kind I don't want to succeed at the expense of other people.
I'm on the left because unlike David Cameron and his kind if I do suceed I'd rather use it as an opportunity to help other people rather than blame them for not doing well.

On the circularity of racism

Whenever I see the top of Calderoli's head on television –  this atlas and epitome of Italian stupidity - I can’t help but think of a real bowl of shit. His head  also makes me think of an urn containing its own remains.  I can’t imagine him riling up an audience but it shouldn’t be too difficult for his followers to wash out this urn into the sink. It would serve very well for their homemade racist freak feculence.

Surrender monkeys to the neo-liberal forces

Obviously, the on-and-off of fascism is a bear on most Italian leftwingers backs, but the Left isn't helping. They would have overextended themelves but made it back, if the Left hadn't pushed them. You can't threaten leftwingers with locking them in some dim rooms as if they were children and expect that to help! The poor Italian Left is out of its depth. Neither the Left nor anything else is helping them, and they really need help. The’ve fallen into a frozen gully and have lost consciousness. Hopefully, the leftwingers will come to when they start shaking uncontrollably and make it back despite the injured ankle and the onset of hypothermia.  Italy certainly isn't timid with her cliffhangers. One needs to have done search and rescue. The leftwingers could die out there. They won't because the story can't lose them. They’re going to need to skip the race, though, unless they want that injury to be permanent.

The thick wall around the abscess. On Fascism

‘The dreadnaught of fascism shall never stamp out the beauty of individual liberty’ (Paul Ron). This is rubbish.  On the off chance that you take the inconvenience to sift through the rubbish you learn some things, unpleasant ad they may be. The spread of fascism is inevitable and inherent to the system of power relations. An infection affecting the brain and spinal cord can go septic (Paul Ron is a physician), or if he gets into the bone it’s hard for the antibiotics to get to the site. It won't heal unless it is opned up, which means surgery. When avoiding fascists is not possible, mitigating the conflict by a delusional idea of beauty leads to nothing.

See also on this point Foucault (Histoire de la sexualité):

'Là où il y a pouvoir, il y a résistance et […] pourtant, ou plutôt par là même, celle-ci n’est jamais en position d’extériorité par rapport au pouvoir.'

‘When there is power there is resistance, and consequently this resistance is never in a position of exteriority in relation to power”
